Reinstalling Windows is not a tedious task because the process itself may take long or there is a number of settings to make. Searching the web and installing drivers all over again is the part that most of us hate. With the aid of DriverMax, this task can be a thing of the past. The software will scan your hardware and detect what kind of drivers you need. Additionally, it will automatically search the web for updates and install them.

The installation package will take up only 8.85 Mb of free disk space. The installation process may take some time to complete because your system will be scanned. It can be installed on most Windows editions and it requires few system resources.

Searching for drivers or updates is a straightforward task, due to the well designed user interface. Different options will be displayed on the main area and you can switch between them with the aid of navigation tabs. Scanning for updates can be done under the first tab. You will be slowed down only when you run the program for the first time, because an account is needed in order to scan for updates.

If the program finds updates, they will be listed under the second tab, where you can select them and click a button in the lower right corner in order to install them. You will also appreciate the driver backup feature. It can be found under the third navigation tab, where you will find a list of all the drivers installed. Like before, you can select one or more of them and click a button in the lower right corner of the window. This will store the selected drivers in an archive, on your hard drive. The next time you reinstall your operating system, you can either use the software to scan and download the drivers or find them in the saved archive.
